The Block Zero Concept Lecture/Practical
One of the biggest concerns for any coach and in many cases parents, is how are there children going to be exposed to their first organized training program. In
the age of getting there fast, we have to understand the developmental process and maturation of our athletes. Coach Kenn will outline the basic fundamentals
of establishing an incoming developmental program for newcomers into your program. Coach Kenn’s “slow cooking” process focuses on movement and
relative/gymnastics strength capabilities before exposing the athlete to external loading. This will also be a combination session. The practical part of this session
we will be asking clinicians to participate in the movements being presented.

Athletic Based Strength Training –Tier System Strength Training for the High School Athlete
In this presentation, Coach Kenn will discuss the nuts and bolts of the 3 day whole body strength training template that has become a staple in many programs
across the country. Coach Kenn will then discuss and show a program designed for the High School athlete participating in an organized strength training program
for the first time.

Push, Jump, Punch, A Developmental Process for Teaching the Power Clean to Athletes Lecture/Practical
In this presentation, Coach Kenn will discuss his layering process for “slow cooking” the teaching of the Power Clean. In the practical session we will have a live
demonstration of the exercise techniques for this progression.

Coach Kenn will present on numerous points of emphasis in the realm of developing a coaching philosophy. This presentation will include but will not be limited
to his “Words Win” mission, 6 critical factors of Coaching, and growing within yourself as a coach and individual.
About the Presenter, Joe Kenn is a 28 year performance coach veteran. Coach Kenn has coached 10 year olds to All
Pro’s. He is a NSCA National Strength Coach of the Year on both the Collegiate and Professional levels. He has coached
at the High School, Collegiate, Professional, and Private arenas with great success. He is a nationally recognized
speaker and an expert in athletic based strength training.
