Seven Years’
War Project
Your Task: To explore the events,
people, causes and effects of the Seven
Years’ War and present your findings.
Your project will be a portfolio-style product which includes
information on each of these topics:
 General Wolfe and General Montcalm- Follow trading card format.
Trading Card Creator
 An overview of the Causes of War -- (Ohio Valley, Hudson Bay,
Acadia/Newfoundland) Done using an Instructional Video – Be
creative. You may wish to take on a historical personality
 A comparison of the New France colonies and the British Colonies
before the war – Should be done using some form of Smart Art or a
similar product in PREZI (Look on the online Resource).
 An overview of the outcomes of the war (Quebec Act, Royal
Proclamation of 1763) – Newspaper article from an American
perspective
 An overview of the major battles
o Map of all battles
o Two Historical Paintings that depict a battle – You must
have a written explanation of the battle and what is
happening in the painting.
 A description of any Military strategy you found to be interesting
o Differences in European and Aboriginal Fighting methods
o The Thin Red Line
Format: Free to organize how you like, but put on WEEBLY.
Each trading card must include but is not limited to the
following items:
 A picture of the individual.
 Birth/death date/occupation.
 Contribution(s) to the history of CANADA – (4-6
sentences)
 Skills, talents, and achievements that make this
person remarkable – (Full Sentences)
 An interesting fact that most people would not
know about this individual (Full Sentences)
