BRING ME AN OFFERING • Verses 1-2 - An Offering, Or Terumah Is Something Given Voluntarily • 1 Chronicles 29:13-16 • Question: Why Would God, The Creator Of All Things, Need Or Desire Material Gifts From His Children? • Note: What Did They Use To Build The Tabernacle? Material Things! • Verse 8 - “Let Them Make Me A Sanctuary” The word for sanctuary is the Hebrew word mikdash. At the root of this word is the word kadosh which means ‘holy.’ A mikdash means a ‘holy place’. The word ‘among’ [Hebrew] Tavek literally means the very Center. 2 Corinthians 6:16 - “And what agreement has the temple of God with Idols? For you are the the temple of God. As God has said: “I will dwell _____ them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (over) • The Hebrew word mareh can also mean ‘vision’ or ‘mirror.’ B. LIFE LESSONS 1. Jesus Is The Perfect ________ Of God Among Us • John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. • Colossians 2:9-10 - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. 2. We Are The Living ____________ Of God. • Ephesians 2:21-22 - In whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. 3.
