tobeatrusted“one-stopshop”for
familiesandproviderstofindup-todateresources,aswellastraining
andvolunteeropportuni)es.
Inthepast12months,wehaveraised
atotalof$16,334fromindividual
donors,fundraisingandgrants,which
hasallowedustocon)nuetooffer
oursupportgroupfreeofchargeand
launchournewlyre-designedwebsite,
whichhasreceivedatotalof9,700
visitorssinceJanuarythisyear.
Weares)llinourinfancyandthisyear
hasbeenaboutdiscoveringwhereour
servicesaremostneededanddeciding
whichprogramswillhavethegreatest
impact.Wearelearningeveryday.

Atthebeginningoftheyear,wemade
acommitmenttoincreasethenumber
ofwomenadendingourfreeweekly
supportgroup.Inthepast12months,
we’vehad265adendees,amixof
regularsandnewmoms,and77have
joinedourprivateFacebookgroup,
wheretheyreceiveongoingpeer
supportinasafe,friendly,nonjudgmentalspace.In2017,weplan
toaddaSpanish-speakinggroupand
aneveninggroupforworkingmoms.
In12months,werespondedtocalls
andemailsfrom72moms,dadsand
familymembers,anaverageofonea
week,whorecognizedtheyoraloved
oneneededhelp.Wededicated)me
andenergytoensuringeachmomwas
supportedanddirectedtothe
appropriateresources.
AWARENESS
Wehavealsobeenworkinghardto
increaseouronlinepresence.With

followersonTwider,weareengaging
ouraudiencewithalmost-dailyposts,
ar)cles,calls-to-ac)onandupdates.
Ouraimistohelpnormalizeanxiety/
depressionandlessenthes)gma,so
momsfeelabletotalkaboutitand
seektreatmentassoonaspossible.

needattheYWCA,HeritageHouse
andtheLakeCountyfirevic)ms.

which makes you feel
like a bad mother. This
group gave me the
support I needed to
understand that I am
not alone and gave me a community and tools
to help me through it.”
