PIN & SLEEVE Devices are built to IEC 309-1 AND 309-2 specifications and are interchangeable with other manufacturers who conform to these IEC standards and color-coding
system… anywhere in the world. They are typically used to supply power to portable, electrically operated equipment such as generator sets, compressors, welders, heating and cooling
equipment, lighting equipment and similar apparatus, or wherever quick connect/disconnect capabilities are required.
The iStart is a forward – reverse motor starter using solid state relays in a self contained
IP65 enclosure, allowing for versatility in mounting locations!
Wiring for both direction conditions are already integrated, and by using our proprietary
SSR technology we have eliminated the need for dual contactors and mechanical
interlocks - thereby reducing both cabinet space requirements and wiring times.
K
Available in 24VDC control, or Modbus RTU fieldbus, with optional current monitoring,
the iStart provides:
upto 530VAC power input
Single or Three phase switching forward and reverse
A rugged heat sink enclosure specific to only Walther
Integrated Metal Oxide Varistors
Optional 4-20mA current feedback allowing the user to detect system jams
Optional 5X20mm fuse protection
Decentralized control, mounted at the source of motor needs
Immediate swap and replace capabilities, providing reduced system downtimes
Walther’s dependable, proven Procon connectors

The future belongs to mobility with electric vehicles. There is a political will to advance our
electric mobility - especially in congested urban areas - in order to protect our fossil fuel reserves and to keep our air clean. In Germany alone, experts anticipate at least 1 million electric vehicles by 2020. A pre-requisite for the power supply of these electric vehicles was for
complete standardization regarding the charging plug and socket as well as a Europe-wide
agreement on the infrastructure of EV charging stations; furthermore the development of a
corresponding communication between electric vehicle and charging station and of billing systems for consumed power. To a great extent WALTHER was influentially involved in this
preparatory work and was a valuable participant due to its expertise in plugs and sockets,
power distributors for outside areas, control, communication and billing systems.

PROCON
Procon™ Heavy Duty Rectangular Connectors Provide error-free connection of multiple wire
control circuitry on robotics, machine tools, material handling equipment, conveyers and other
electrical and electronic equipment or industrial machinery.
MECHANICAL INTERLOCK DEVICES
Mechanical Interlocks are designed to combine a disconnect switch and a receptacle into one
compact unit. Walther's mechanical interlock receptacles eliminate the possibility of making or
breaking the circuit under load or making a haphazard connection.
MANUAL DISCONNECT SWITCHES
Manual Disconnect Switches combine a horsepower rated switch in a tough NEMA 4X (IP65)
enclosure for safe motor load disconnects.
REMOTE ACCESS INTERFACE PORTS
Allow you to access data and power from the outside of your enclosure. This is accomplished
by mounting the panel mount housing interface to the outside of a panel that houses a PLC or
computer. The Walther Remote Access Interface Port allows users to interface the PLC or computer without opening the panel door, thereby eliminating the potential safety hazards associated with having an open electrical panel.
iSWITCH
A device combining or coordinating separate elements so as to provide an interrelated whole
of power connectors, heat dissipation, switching and control. The i Switch can control multiple
heat zones in one unit.
