Issue 2 Time Management With an increase in the Indian population the pressure to perform academically has increased exponentially among the Indian students. And when they fail, many of them experience deep depression. A major reason for their failure is the emergence of Social Networking services in our daily lives. An average Indian student spends hours on Social Networking services like Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp, and this can easily be seen in their report cards . Sometimes children waste hours playing videogames and watching movies. They either spend their time chatting on their phones or playing viral games like Candy Crush! And ultimately it’s their examination result that gets crushed in between their chats and games. Excessive time spent on these activities lead to staunch reduction in academic concentration and study hours. And due to the narrow usage of their grey matter these kids slowly lose their ability to think creatively and quantitatively reason. In worst cases their attention span towards academics reaches ground zero! To overcome this problem day to day time management is necessary. The Indian student has to realize that by spending a large portion of their time on entertainment they are slowly wasting an essential resource which no amount of money can buy. However they can still spend some of their time on outdoor games as they boost concentration as well, but not much. This will render them physically as well as mentally abled to tackle the increasing competition. Vishwa Kapadia VB 1 April, 2015 Established : 1993 My Experience at CMA Greetings, Today I would like to make use of our electronic journal and share with you some of my experiences at The Chanderbala Modi Academy. When I first joined this institution I was filled with lot of anticipation and curiosity. I wondered if I would ever be able to cope with a new environment. And how would the teachers and students in my new institution be like? I wondered if this new school would help me overcome my academic weakness and recognize my strengths. Only time would tell…. Well my first day at the Chanderbala Modi Academy was very memorable; my teachers were very kind and the students were co-operative. They made me feel at home and the compassion they offered in their friendship and their teaching was just wonderful. I was a bit shy before but this school helped me overcome my fear of socializing and I soon was able to interact and developed a voice that radiates confidence. Many of my teachers helped me overcome my poor performance in academics and now I excel in them. I lacked behind in studies but now I don’t! And you know what the best part is! It doesn’t even feel like studying. Chanderbala Modi academy changed my definition of academics and made it fun. Now it’s been long since my first day here, and yet I still feel the air of excitement every day since I have been here, for not a single day has passed when I was not introduced to something new, and every day is a brand new experience and a fond memory to remember. They don’t see me or they just pretend. My hues and cry, left ignored. Do they not hear me? Maybe they’re just bored. I shout and scream, But their work is supreme. Those bewildered eyes at me they stare. Is it real or just a nightmare? Those eyes look at me and frown. As if I am the reason of their mourn, The crowd fades away as I stand In front of a mirror on an isolated land…. Those days of my life I cannot recall, When the world stood still at my fall, Now I can’t stand up on my own, No one comes to lend a hand, I am so alone….
