Also that the intangibles necessary to becoming a successful entrepreneur – perseverance, hard work, managing adversity, overcoming failure, problem solving – directly mirror characteristics necessary for success in life. This premise aligns with the goals and culture supported at John Marshall School of Civic and Business Leadership. So it’s no surprise that 11th grade student, Onyango Pearl rose to the challenge to become one of five finalists in this year’s Teen Pitch Tank Competition. Onyango’s idea is for a locker that will be secured by a student’s fingerprint. The idea being that fingerprints are unique to every individual, so students’ belongings will be safer than those held by a traditional combination lock, and also more easily accessible – making a stop at your locker quick and Congratulations Onyango on your success! Check out Onyango’s winning pitch on YouTube by searching Teen Pitch Tank – Finger Activated Locker Combination.
