Policy BCAP35: Bristol Temple Quarter
Sites within Bristol Temple Quarter will be
developed for a wide range of uses as part of
the growth and regeneration of the area; as an
employment-led, mixed-use quarter of the city
centre, an exemplar for new initiatives and a
hub for all creative minded businesses.
The layout, form and mix of uses should
contribute to delivering this vision for Bristol
Temple Quarter and, in doing so, have regard
to the Spatial Framework for Bristol Temple
Quarter.

The Spatial Framework 2016
Spatial Framework
― Material consideration in determining
planning applications, not SPD
― Supports planning applications by
providing the ‘bigger picture’
― Not a masterplan but sets the context
for detailed site masterplans
― Sets ambition for place quality
― Aspirational and promotional
― Communicates to a wide range of
stakeholders
― Provides greater certainty for investors
― Co-ordinates and integrates investment
and a strategic infrastructure
programme
