MOBILE PHONES The widespread ownership of mobile phones (and similar devices such as tablets and iPods) among students, requires that the school and parents take steps to ensure that such mobile devices are used responsibly to ensure student safety and to avoid any disruption to our learning environment. As a general rule mobile phones are not to be brought to school by students. In special circumstances (with Principal’s permission) a student may have a mobile phone for use after school under the following conditions; It needs to be kept safe in the office during the school day It is not to be accessed by students for personal use Risk of damage or loss is realised by the parents The procedure is as follows: Students will deliver the phone to the office for safe keeping and take responsibility for collecting it again in the afternoon. NB- Ipods and other devices are not to be brought to school unless specific permission is provided by the class teacher for educational purposes.
