is fit and physically able to help. This person will be responsible for
providing all required assistance. Your comfort and safety are priorities
for us. We would be happy to discuss any mobility or accessibility
concerns you might have. Prior to booking, please talk to our travel
partner in detail about your personal requirements.

Cruise for seven nights from Rome to Barcelona aboard
the exclusively chartered, five-star M.S. Le Lyrial. This unique,
comprehensive itinerary immerses you in the dynamic
history, inimitable art and culture of the sun-drenched French
and Italian rivieras and islands. Visit up to five UNESCO
World Heritage sites, including Carcassonne’s medieval
fortifications and the postcard cliff-side villages of Italy’s
Cinque Terre. Explore Corsica’s fortified town of Bonifacio
and Sardinia’s dazzling Costa Smeralda. Visit either Florence
or Pisa. Along the enchanting Côte d’Azur, enjoy specially
arranged excursions in Monte Carlo, Marseilles and Nice.
Provence and the Côte d’Azur conjure visions of sunny
olive groves, fields of lavender and the vineyards
of the Côtes du Rhône. Settle in Avignon and begin
your exploration with a visit to the Palace of the Popes
and a cruise on the Rhône. See Arles and its Roman
amphitheatre, the hilltop village of Les Baux, and St. Remy
where Van Gogh once lived. Visit Châteauneuf-du-Pape,
known for its superb wine. Marvel at the ingenious Pont du
Gard, the three-level Roman aqueduct. Discover the towns
of Aix-en-Provence and Cannes. Explore Nice and discover
glamorous Monaco and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
Over the centuries this region has witnessed the ebb and
flow of foreign armies and settlers, many of which imprinted
their cultures on Apulia. Settle in the town of Polignano
a Mare perched above the sparkling Adriatic. Begin with
an excursion to the vibrant seaport of Bari and its Basilica
of St. Nicholas. Gaze at Lecce’s baroque architecture and
Ostuni’s ancient walls and white edifices. In Trani, visit
historic highlights and an olive mill. Explore the Trulli
of Alberobello, and wander through Locorotondo’s tranquil
streets. Visit the cave-dwelling district of Sassi di Matera.
For our solo travellers, there is no single supplement.

Learn Along the Way
Every U of T trip has an educational component. In each program, the
educational aspect is different but the intent is the same—to provide an
opportunity for travellers to enjoy themselves and enrich their lives. Stimulating
lectures and insights will be provided by local experts or university professors,
where possible. On some trips, you can participate in an open panel discussion
with local residents and learn about modern-day life in their community.
If you are inspired to learn more about the region that you are vising,
the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies offers related courses
that change annually. Please visit: learn.utoronto.ca for more information.
