The easiest method for adding an electrical box to an existing home is
to use what’s known as an old work electrical box. Conventional old work
boxes, however, provide no means for sealing the wall surface opening
to prevent airflow from entering the house around the perimeter of the
box and through the cable clamp openings.

ease. Featuring a flexible drywall flange and gaskets over cable entry
points, this single-gang old work box automatically creates a draftresistant seal with no additional labor required to seal air gap openings.
