Time/Location Sunday, July 30— Saturday, August 5 The Beeches Rome, NY The Project Fibonacci® STEAM Conference is the brain child of ANDRO Computational Solutions, LLC, in cooperation with local schools, businesses and non-profit agencies. This remarkable opportunity provides your exceptional student(s) with unparalleled and content rich workshops and off-site tours, along with personal access to some of the best and brightest minds in various STEAM fields. At the 2016 Conference, scholars visited several prominent, off-site locations, including the Masonic Medical Nomination Deadline Research Lab, Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, Quad-C, Sculpture Space, the Griffiss International Qualifications to hands-on workshops, taught by industry experts and professionals. Workshops such as the science behind Sculpture Garden and the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY, just to name a few. Students were given access movie-making, cyber security as well as building a functional geodesic dome! As a 2017 scholar, you will attend keynote speeches from physicist and author, Dr. Michio Kaku; Tuition & Scholarships as Dr. Alex Filippenko, Dr. David Eagleman, Dr. Brian Greene, and former astronauts Chris Hadfield and Alan Keynote and workshop from artist and co-host of Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters, Kari Byron; Keynote and workshop from physicist and co-host of Discovery Science’s Outrageous Acts of Science, Dr. Deborah Berebichez, and we have more special guests in store! For the 2017 Conference, our curriculum committee has been tasked to develop another highly interactive, project/team-based learning program. Curriculum content and scholar experiences will culminate in a New STEAM Scholars: $1,500 team-based, multi-media STEAM fair, showcasing what the teams have learned throughout the week. Tuition cost for the week-long conference is a total of $1,500 and includes: Lodging Meals & Snacks Shuttle Service Workshops Keynote Speeches Project Fibonacci® Merchandise Entertainment Medical & Security Services Project Materials Off-Site Tour Access Local businesses, organizations, and private parties are also encouraged to partially or fully cover student tuitions for the 2017 Project Fibonacci® STEAM Conference. Submit a paper on why you should be chosen to receive funds to attend the 2017 Project Fibonacci® STEAM Conference. Include goals, aspirations, current academic success, community service, and how you would benefit from attending. 2. Submit a paper on the value of furthering STEAM education for yourself and/or others and its importance in any career setting. 3. Generate a proposed layout for the future Project Fibonacci® STEAM campus. The Project Fibonacci® STEAM campus will be built on the Beeches Professional grounds. Colleges, universities, and local businesses will be involved on the campus as well as other STEAM related facilities. Design and produce your vision. 4. Create a presentation on the Fibonacci sequence and how it can be seen throughout the world. Include ties to STEAM related fields.
