Successful Out-Of-Doors Community Tables
Haley House's C om m unity Tables O utO f-Doors Dinner was a huge success,
with over 250 attendees who enjoyed
a delicious buffet dinner and m usical
entertainm ent by Dr. Kam ar'as
Drum m ing C ircle, DJ Jose Masso, and
rapper Natural Bliss. Read m ore about

C onstruction who m ade the event possible with a generous grant.
The McKinley Garden Needs You!
C om e join us this Saturday,
Septem ber 7, from 9:00am to 1:00pm
as we whip the garden back into
shape for the fall sem ester's classes
with the McKinley South End Academ y.
Be ready to get dirty with weeding,
staking, harvesting, and doing general
garden m aintenance tasks. Em ail

We are also seeking volunteer instructors for the nutrition
education com ponent of the McKinley Garden program . If you are
interested in learning m ore about the program , please fill out our
volunteer sign-up form and specify that you are interested in
nutrition education.
Grow Your Business Workshop: Catering
O n Tuesday, Septem ber 17 from 5:307:30pm , Goodwin Proctor will be
leading a workshop on how to start
and grow a C atering business. When
Haley House Bakery C afé began, we
had no plan to develop a C atering operation. Eight years later, we
are proud to report that C atering is the largest part of our food
