Instructions
1. Please read the instructions before completing the form.
2. All information required must be provided. Incomplete details, false particulars or wilful
suppression of material facts will render the application liable to disqualification.
3. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications.
4. The Board is not obliged to provide any reason for the selection of applicants.
5. Shortlisted applicants will be required to pay a $20/- oral examination fee and produce original
copies of their certificates (including the Registered Medical Practitioner, if any) and testimonials for
verification at a later date.
6. This form shall be submitted together with copies of the following documents :

Qualifications
An applicant who meets either one of the following requirements may apply for water service plumber licence;
(a)
(i)
Possess a Builder Certificate in Plumbing & Pipefitting issued by the BCA Academy or other
such qualifications as may be acceptable to PUB; and
(ii) At least 2 years' relevant post-qualification plumbing experience under Licensed Water
Service Plumber(s)
OR
(b)
Possess an Advanced Builder Certificate in Plumbing & Pipefitting issued by the BCA Academy or
such other qualifications as may be acceptable to PUB.
Applicant who is issued with lifetime licence and has reached 65 years or older is required to obtain certification
from a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) once every 3 years certifying him fit to carry out and/or supervise
plumbing works. The RMP form can be downloaded from the PUB website at www.pub.gov.sg.

Under the CPF Act, the CPF Board requires all self-employed persons to pay Medisave contributions as long as
they earn a yearly net trade income of more than $6,000.
For application of new licences, applicants must ensure that they have paid up their Medisave liabilities or have
arranged for payment by instalment. For more information on the Medisave for the Self-Employed Scheme or to
check the Medisave payment status for licence application or renewal, please logon to the CPF website at
