The Carbon Philter Institute , (CPI).
Founder-Director
March 2014.
A national and international CSO, based in Brixton, London, UK, specialising in
the protection of the Human Rights of the indigenous Black-English
communities of within the UK. We also address safeguarding issues around
the rights of abused women and children in pre- and post-conflict zones.
We also have a strong interest in anti-corruption, housing and land issues, that
negatively affect the Black-European, Black-indigenous, ethnic peoples, and
slum-dwellers globally.

Diploma – physiology, endocrinology and physical education, (including
coaching qualifications in weight and military cross-training).
7. Self-employed coach, (trainer), senior youth worker and physical sports
facilities, including training several individual members of several rugby
and national Olympic athletic teams.

9. Commission for Racial Equality, (CRE), 1994 – 2001, I sat, on the CRE’s
Higher Education Committee, alongside numerous heads of UK universities,
dealing with access to higher education, race and equality policy issues,
across British Universities.
As part of CRE work, I worked upon the Race Relations (Amendment) Act
2000, from the Higher Education perspective, in its treatment of young Black
and ethnic students, and their lack of access to high-status university courses.

10. Visiting professor – various universities, including Exeter and Kings,
London, 1999 – present. Contributor to a number of Post-graduate
courses, including PGCE, and Masters, subjects include, How to include
Black students in all-white areas; race and regeneration; race &
Architecture; Race, Architecture & Art; Higher Education and the law.
11. Architectural, board and community Adviser - Cowley Estate Tenants
Association, later to become the Cowley Estate Tenants Management
Board, (TMB), 1995 – 2004.
12. Director and founder of the Black Higher Education Watch, (BHEW),
1993 – 2003, Westminster, London, UK.
A not-for-profit, human rights, and higher education, legal support
organisation, aimed at resolving, higher educational disputes between Black
and ethnic students and their universities.
13. The Brixton Triangle Ltd - Chair, a UK regeneration vehicle, covering
the Brixton, and Streatham areas of London, 2001 – 2005.
14. Brixton’s Black Cultural Centre, 2002 – 2008 – I was on the
architectural selection panel to select the architect for the centre, as the
specialist in architectural tender processes and construction contracts.
15. Speaker and animator at several UK government and International
Regeneration Conferences – London, Manchester and Birmingham.

16. Member – the UK’s National Women’s Commission. 2006-8. Attended
and participated in several meetings at the Whitehall, Cabinet Office, on
UN international Race, indigenous, DIFID and women’s issues, including,
post-conflict and war zone survival issues.
I also contributed to several UN publications on the human rights of urban
women living post-conflict zones. This included national and international
discussions on the land and property rights of women.
