Missouri law requires that this training be provided to all employees performing construction work on state or local government construction contracts. Get Your Dirt Cert: Excavation Competent Person Certification Get certified and learn from the best! Preventing injuries and incidents should be a top priority on every excavation and trenching jobsite. OSHA requires that a “competent person” perform routine safety inspections of excavations. This course provides excavation competent person certification and includes detailed training on the identification and control of hazards found on excavation jobsites. Stakeholder Roundtable: Enforcement and Dispute Resolution Since 2013, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office has initiated enforcement actions against hundreds of excavators and utilities for violations of the Missouri One Call statutes.
