Core Membership of the
9 HLS DPR Committees
• Each core discipline
has a subcommittee
with county and
municipal
representatives who
elect a member to
represent them on
the DPR Committee
(DPRC).
• Each DPR
Committee elects an
overall chairperson
to lead the activities
of the DPR region;
NCEM also
furnishes an area
coordinator to serve
as a Non-Voting
Executive Director.

BOTTOM LINE - WHY ARE THE DPRs
SO IMPORTANT?
1. Each DPR decides as a regional team what
their hazard response needs are &
subsequently draft project proposals to
request HLS funding to address those needs
on an annual basis.
2. DPR activities will enhance the ability of
counties to effectively plan, train and exercise
to ensure readiness to respond to all hazards.
