Total Limerick Clean-Up
The pupils of Shountrade National School were very busy with their litter pickers and
sweeping brushes in March! The school community took some time out to tidy up the
school environs. We gathered and swept all morning! Everybody enjoyed this very
worthwhile and valuable exercise. Thank you to Ms. Ryan who is our TLC Co-ordinator.
Standardised Tests
The Standardised Tests will take place on the last week of May and first week
of June. It is imperative that your child is not absent during these weeks and that they
present at school well rested.
After a busy year we have submitted our Science & Maths project to Discover Primary
Science. Pupils have participated in Design & Make activities, Living Things & Technology
programmes, as well as Primary School Biology, Chemistry and Physics experiments. Our
project is very impressive and we are very excited about Science in Shountrade.
Our thanks to Ms. Walsh, our Science Co-Ordinator, for leading this initiative.
