Sandoval was a Colorado state champion his senior year at Centauri High School and a three-time state qualifier. Before Nebraska Sandoval helped Centauri to back-to-back Class 3A state championships in 2009 and 2010, while winning the 160-pound individual title as a senior in 2011. Sandoval went 44-0 during his senior season, including a 14-2 major decision win over Brandon Bertsch of Alamosa in the state finals. Sandoval was named to the 2011 All-Colorado wrestling team by the Denver Post. During his junior season, Sandoval went 39-5 and finished runner-up at 152 pounds. As a sophomore, Sandoval also finished in second place at 152 pounds and won 38 total matches. Sandoval earned three letters in football and one in track and cross country while at Centauri. Personal Iver is the son of Ruben and Lisa Sandoval. He was born in Alamosa, Colo., and has two sisters, Nikela (20) and Ariolle (12). Iver is majoring in history at Nebraska. fr. l 141 l watertown, wis. l arrowhead 2011-12 Outlook Jake Sueflohn has the ability to make an immediate impact on the Husker lineup at 141 pounds and replace two-time NCAA qualifier Mike Koehnlein. Sueflohn, the No. 2 rated wrestler nationally at 140 pounds coming out of Arrowhead High School, finished third at the Junior Freestyle National Championships as senior. Before Nebraska Sueflohn is a two-time Wisconsin state champion after winning the Division I 140-pound title as a senior by going a perfect 48-0 and the 135-pound title as a junior. Sueflohn was the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the nation at the 140-pound weight division according to InterMat. As a freshman, Sueflohn finished third at the state championships at 119 pounds, while recording a 50-4 record. His sophomore season saw him finish in the runner-up spot at the 125-pound weight division going 38-5. After his senior season, Sueflohn finished third at 145 pounds at the Junior Freestyle National Championships in Fargo, N.D. Personal Jake is the son of Monica and Jeff Sueflohn. He was born on Oct. 6, 1992 in Oconomowoc, Wis. Sueflohn has one sister, Jamie (16). Jake has not declared a major at Nebraska. 57 2011-12 Huskers 40 NWCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM AUSTIN WILSON fr. l 165 l hastings, neb. hastings st. cecilia l 2011-12 Outlook Austin Wilson, one of nine Nebraska natives on the team, is a candidate to redshirt duing the 2011-12 season at 165 pounds. Wilson is a talented wrestler who finished his high school career by winning 180 matches, which was a Nebraska state high school record. Before Nebraska Wilson finished his high school career as one of the most prolific wrestlers in Nebraska high school history after amassing a state record 180 wins to only three losses, while capturing three Class C state championships. Wilson capped his career by winning the 160-pound title as a senior, while tying his own state record for wins in a single season by going 48-0. Ranked as the No. 18 wrestler in the country at 160 pounds by InterMat, Wilson finished his career by winning his final 143 high school matches, which is also a Nebraska high school record. As a junior, Wilson won the 145-pound state championship with a 48-0 record, and took home the title as a sophomore at 130 pounds going 47-0. Wilson captured second place at the 2011 NHSCA Senior National Wrestling Championships at 160 pounds in Virginia Beach, Va. Personal Austin is the son of Craig and Donna Wilson.
