cafeteria worker, librarian, secretary, band member, alumni, principal,
crossing guard, classmate, coach, custodian, etc.
Elements to include in your essay:
-What role of a Rider is the person? (teacher, athlete, supportive parent,etc)
-How has the person inspired you? Explain.

The contest is open to all K-12 students in the Caesar Rodney School District.

Middle school students (grades 6-8)
High school students (grades 9-12)
Prizes:​ ​District level winners shall receive
-certificates
-medals
-$50.00 savings bond for top winner in each category and ​a keepsake book of all of the
winning submissions
Guidelines:
*No student names should appear on the essay. Attach the entry form to the
essay with a paperclip.
*Elementary essays should be between 300-400 words.
*Middle and high school essays should be between 400-600 words.
*Entries may be typed or neatly handwritten.
*All essays must be original work.
*The competition opens October 18, 2016, and will close on October 28, 2016. All
entries must be received prior to this date and time in order to be considered. ​Finalists
will be notified in writing and will be asked to attend the Rider Pride Day on Nov
4th to read their essay.
