Barcombe Flower Show
Spring Event, 2017
What a brilliant afternoon! An amazing display of daffodils (given that in many
gardens they were over) and a record number of tulips. In fact entries were up in
most sections, and it was particularly pleasing to see many more children taking
part.
Warm sunshine let us take tea — kindly provided by Barcombe School PTA — on
the Village Hall lawn, which added to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Flower Show Chairman Trevor Smith thanked Committee members for their hard
work and commitment, and the Parish Council for its generous donation towards
new vases. Up to now we have relied on vases borrowed from Newick Show, but
this grant will enable us to be more independent.
