The Messenger Volume 11, No. 11 a publication of Berkeley City College February 16, 2017 BCC Accreditation Affirmed The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, in its recent meeting determined that BCC has addressed concerns raised in an earlier review. During a November site visit, commissioners reviewed whether the college had resolved deficiencies noted during the Spring 2015 comprehensive review. And, in its January meeting, the commission determined that BCC meets those standards. This is wonderful news for BCC. In its letter to President Tomaneng the commission acknowledged BCC for “sharing the values and the work of accreditation to ensure educational quality and to support student success.” Thanks to everyone who made this possible and for helping us to continue our legacy of “Transforming Lives”.
