to delight everyone’s palette put together by DiMeo
and the students of ARC Broward’s Culinary Institute.
“The student chefs are motivated, challenged and
inspired when working side by side with successful
chefs in the community at events like The Traveling
Plate,” said Kristina Luccia, associate director of
development for ARC Broward. “Partnering with the
Broward Public Library and being able to showcase all
that they are doing in the community as well as
witnessing [DiMeo’s] passion for teaching our
students makes us especially excited for this month’s

DiMeo is a native of Naples, Italy, and brings the
traditions of his homeland into every dish he prepares.
The event is sponsored by PNC Bank. Proceeds
fund scholarships for future student chefs who will
attend the ARC Broward Culinary Institute. Using
food as a tool to transform lives for adults with
disabilities and other life challenges, the ARC Broward
Culinary Institute provides job training opportunities
for graduates of the Entry Level Culinary Arts
Certificate Program.
