Media contact: Christine Stilwell (321) 231‐0587/[email protected] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE American Dreams Foundation Announces the 2016 All Class Wrestling Scholarship Recipients Over $90,000 in scholarships awarded to Florida high school wrestlers Orlando, Fla. – (May 18, 2016) – ORLANDO, FL ‐ American Dreams Foundation has awarded $91,400 to Florida High School wrestlers through its All Class Wrestling Scholarship Program. The scholarship is based on placement in the 2016 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Wrestling tournament, overall wrestling performance and academic achievement. Ten central Florida wrestlers were recipients of the scholarship including Dylan Meeks of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando who received the top All Class Scholarship of $5,000. The All Class Wrestling Scholarship awarded through the American Dream Foundation is funded by Lawrence E. White, PhD. Dr. White took his passions of wrestling and learning and paired them with his will to help people and has created the All Class Wrestling Scholarship Program. Scholarships were available to all senior and junior state placers who applied. About half of the eligible wrestlers applied. After confirmation of registration is received, scholarships are paid directly to educational institutions for the benefit of the scholar.
