Title 1 Parent Compact For Math Support

What Is a Parent Compact?
A Parent Compact is an agreement between
parents, students and teachers. It explains
how parents and teachers will work together
to make sure all students get the individual
support they need to reach and exceed their
target growth goals.
Criteria to Receive Service
Your student has been selected to receive additional math support based on
 NWEA test results
 a math benchmark assessment
 teacher recommendation
Math Specialists will work closely with
your child’s teacher to provide the support needed. Students will meet in
small groups for 20-30 minutes, 2 to 3
days a week. Small group time will focus
on three main components;
 Basic math skills that need extra attention.
 Previewing upcoming lessons and
concepts that your child will be
learning in the regular classroom.
The goal with this pre-teaching is to
help your child feel more confident
and successful when new material is
introduced in class.
 Bi-monthly progress monitoring
checkpoints assess student progress
toward goals.
