56th Massachusetts Senior Amateur Championship The Golf Club at Turner Hill September 12-13, 2016 Player Information Sheet The Golf Club at Turner Hill 3 Manor House Lane Ipswich, MA 0938 (978) 356-7070 Click Here for directions Format: 36 Holes, Stroke Play (18 holes per day). The low 70 scorers and ties will continue play on September 13th . Starting times for Round 2 will be based on Round 1 scores and can be found at www.mgalinks.org. Rules of Play: The 2016 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MGA Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Conditions of the Competition. Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the MGA Policies and Procedures page. Golf Carts: Automotive carts are permitted during the competition (cart fee is included in the entry fee). Pull/push carts and caddies are permitted. ***Due to the drought conditions there will be a CART PATH ONLY policy during the championship proper.*** 1 st Tee Time: Play will begin at 8:00am & 12:00pm, in groups of 3, at 10-minute intervals, off the 1st and 9th tees. Please make sure to be at your starting tee at least ten minutes prior to insure that all proper instructions are received from the starter. Practice Round: • Please contact the golf shop at (978) 312-3044. Each player must call to schedule their own individual practice round. • There will be a mandatory cart/trail fee of $25 per player for their practice round. • Due to the current drought conditions there will be a CART PATH ONLY policy for all practice rounds. • Only one ball may be played per player and practice rounds are limited to competitors only. • The driving range will be available one hour prior to your practice round starting time. Available Dates/Times: ( PLEASE NOTE THAT NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE TO THE AVAILABLE DATES/TIMES LISTED BELOW) August 30th and 31st (between 3:00pm-3:40pm) September 7th (between 3:00pm-3:20pm) Player Luncheon & Food and Beverage: The MGA will be providing a complimentary luncheon on September 12 th *** for all competitors. (***A buffet lunch will be available on September 12th between the hours of 11am-2:30p m) Additional food & beverage services will be available on Tuesday, September 13th at the player’s expense (CASH or CREDIT). Golf Shop, Clubhouse and Practice Facilities: The golf shop, clubhouse will be open at 7:00am each day. The driving range will be available starting at 7:00am to 9:30am and will reopen at 11:00am to 1:30pm. ***Competitors in the afternoon wave (12:00pm-1:30pm), please note that there will be a shuttle for transport to/from the clubhouse/cart staging area to the driving range. Due to the number of carts that will be in use, not all of the afternoon starting time carts may be available on your arrival.*** Competition Tees/Yardage: Play will be from the MGA Tee Markers (Approx: 6,400 yards – Blue/White Tees) Prizes: The Frederick J. Wright Memorial Trophy and a gold medal will be presented to the Champion. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.
