Sanction our own events - makes sense to have own judges
Our own contests often do not have enough judges
Will it create a higher level of creditability for NEBS? NEBS book, Certified Master, Table Captain, etc.
What categories would the training be?
What will people pay to get certified?
Why would they want to?
Poll membership on interest?
Last year at Summerfest mock class done
Training to judges on open garnish vs. standard garnish
Why would someone want to be certified?
What would get them involved? Merchandise? Certification? Give incentives?
Grandfather in KCBS judges somehow?
Why don't they judge now? - forget about NEBS site, conflicting dates, better advertising of NEBS events
Organizers ask why we don't have judges
Brookline has offered to hold two free classes at their facility
Some BOD members who were completely against are "mixed" feelings now
Need to get some certified judges involved in creating this program
This will not be a money maker like the KCBS class for a few years
It will not solve the problems currently but is a movement towards having judges for events
Can it be prepared and approved - ready to go by spring?
