Councillor Cupit informed Members that an email had been received from Gelders to advise that 120 bricks rather than the original 80 estimated in the tender need to be replaced, and advised Members that the additional proposed cost was £767.95. Members discussed the matter and preferred to replace all the bricks identified rather than prioritising the worst affected, as it was considered prudent for all works to be carried out whilst expert contractors are on site. Councillor Cupit advised Members that he would apply for approval of any net additional cost once the amount was known, as it may be possible to make savings in other areas of the project. Councillor Whittington arrived at 7.06pm Action: Councillor Cupit to inform Gelders of the Council’s decision.
