For Metal Window Wells, measure the length, depth and height of
your well opening to the outer edges.
A = LENGTH DIMENSION (at the wall of the house to the outside
edges of the well)
B = PROJECTION DIMENSION (measure from the wall of the house,
out to the front outside edge of the well)
C= Left side measurement if window comes up above the lip of the
well. (Top of well to top of window.)
D= Right side measurement if window comes up above the lip of the
well. (Top of well to top of window.)
G = BRIDGE DIMENSION For more than a 33" projection well measure out 24" from the wall of the house toward the front of the well
and place a mark on the well on each side, then measure across the
well at these points to the outside edges. For a 18” to 32” projection
well, measure out 12" from the wall to place marks. See diagrams
below.
H = HEIGHT If your basement window comes ABOVE the top level of
your window well and we might be quoting you a Bubble Cover that
might sit on the ground…please also include the distance from the
well lip to the ground for each window well.

“B” dimension from the wall of your home, not all the way back to your window. Use a
straight edge across the back of your well if necessary.
