9. Temperature
Description

Temperature measures the
amount of heat (how hot or
cold something is).

Thermometer is used to
measure temperature.

The basic unit of
measurement is degree and
the standard unit is Celsius
scale (also called Centigrade
scale).

The Celsius scale is marked

freezing point of water and
100°C is the boiling point of
water.
Another scale for measuring

Fahrenheit scale. In this
