We frequently discuss
spiritual
fitness
in
church (read your Bible,
pray, repent from sin)
but rarely discuss physical fitness (run, walk,
swim, golf, etc.) Are
these topics related?
Does one need physical
fitness in order to be
spiritually
fit?
How
these fit exactly is a
mystery to me;; however,
it seems to me that they
go hand in hand. It is
tough to be spiritually
joyful when we are
physically miserable. It
is equally difficult to

In an effort to forward
this relationship between
spiritual and physical, a
group from EUC has startHG D SURJUDP FDOOHG ´)LW
ZLWK)ULHQGVµ7KHLGHDLV
to walk or run together on
Monday nights during the
summer (rain or shine)
up at Edinburg Park. The
program will last 8 weeks
(June and July) and will
attempt to prepare folks
to run/walk their first 5k
in the fall (race of your
own choosing). During
some weeks, there will be
a short class (10-15
minutes) on something
exercise related or nutrition or stretching or a
food journal, etc. We

Who Am I?
I was born in Cleveland,
Ohio, the second of six
children.
I have five
brothers. I grew up in
Edinburg (on a farm)
and graduated from
Southeast High School
and Kent State University with a BS degree in
Education. I was married for 43 years (just
shy by 27 days of being
individuals to bring
their friend and walk
WRJHWKHU ,W·V WLPH ZH
get off our cell phones,
away from our TVs and
electronics, and begin
to relate to people.
Registration will soon
be available. Oh, and
you will also receive a
water bottle when you
come to one of the
Monday nights. The
first session is June 2
at 7:00. Hope to see

your friends).

10:30 service on June 22. It will be held rain (inside) or
shine (outside). Bring your own lawn chairs (if it will be outside), place settings, a dish to pass, and table service.
All Youth Group (6th grade and up) are invited to
the parsonage on the last day of school, June 4,
for a Last Day of School Picnic. The fun begins at
6:00 and will go until 8:00 for Junior High (later
for Senior High). We will cook hotdogs and hang
out to begin the summer relaxation. The picnic is
cancelled if there is rain.

There will be NO meeting in June. Instead, we
are planning a family potluck after the 10:30
service on June 22. There will be no meeting
in July because of VBS. Instead, we will go
bowling on July 29. More details will follow.
There will be no meeting in August because of
the Fair. If you would like to help decorate the

Fellowship. She will be busy with her family for
the next four years, and she has been chair for
many years. I, Cindy, will finish out this year,
but I have enough on my plate as well. Someone needs to step up as chair for next year or
