Cable accessories. Just as important as the cable. Since 1995 GT Elektrotechnische Produkte GmbH develops, produces and sells cable-accessories, techniques and mounting supports for reliable cable connections. Our competence is worldwide appreciated – for good reasons: our quality management and our research for new technical and economical solutions give us the opportunity to offer you products which create a standard in their field. The history of our company is short. But successful! 4 GT Cable accessories up to 36 kV Low voltage Telecommunication Medium voltage 1995 In the foundation year we had been concentrated in building up offices and production. Our name was quickly found: GT is the German abbreviation for “cable-accessories”. 1996 Our first development on the market: A range of cast resin joints with a lot of space for splicing. Our customers like it till now. We started our production with a computerized bag filling system for cast resin. 1998 GT-quality-management-system was certified according to DIN ISO 9000. 1999 A new range was created: Medium voltage - heat shrinking products. 2000 GT developed their own equipment for producing heat-shrinking tubes and produced their first wall ducts. 2002 GT had to increase production area because of increasing demand. 2003 The company offered their employees an old age pension because of well-establishment. 2004 GT moved into a new, modern building. Production area increased by more than 1500 sqm. 2005 Development and introduction of new range of cast resin joints type GT 10 – GT 13. 2006 Introduction of new, proprietary GEL technique in the market. Foundation of a company in Romania together with partners. 2007 Build up of a test laboratory for cable accessories according to DIN EN 50 303. GT Cable accessories up to 36 kV 5 GT ... certainly the better connection Product training Quality and characteristics of products are only useful by a system-compatible application. We train our employees and customers again and again with modern methods. This is our way of succeeding a high level of safety by advising our customers in mounting of our products. Quality In order to guarantee customers’ confidence constantly we proof systematically all materials delivered to us as well as products we deliver. Regular internal and external quality audits confirm high standard of our processes. Laws and instructions are changing constantly. In October 2008 a new European standard will be valid: “Method of tests and test requirements ... (1,2 kV)“ for cable accessories for distribution cables with a nominal voltage of 0,6/1,0 (1,2 kV). This new European standard DIN EN 50 393 will replace the old national law DIN VDE 0278-623. We make tests with our test laboratory according to DIN EN 50 393 and create a reliable documentation of test cuttings. Recycling We care and encourage ecological handling of resources. 6 GT Cable accessories up to 36 kV Professional support service We inform you competently about our products and their applications. GT Cable accessories up to 36 kV 7 CAST RESIN-TECHNIQUE Cast Resin-Technique by GT 8 GT Cable accessories up to 36 kV CAST RESIN-TECHNIQUE Application: The range of cast resin accessories includes straight joints, branch joints, double branch joints and transition joints. In order to use the wide application range completely, the joints are delivered without connectors and clamps. But they can be delivered on request. Advantages One system for all voltage ranges: – For filling or producing of cable accessories or parts of them for: Telecommunication and signalling cable, power cable up to 1 kV and power cable up to 10 kV – With cast resin optimally adapted to application – All cast resins are halogen-free – Transparent mixing bag for controlling mixing procedure – Closed system – no impurities during mixing possible – With mold forms of hit-proof, high-quality, transparent synthetic material – for visual control during operation GT cast resin accessories are longitudinal as well as cross-waterproof. All cast resin accessories are qualified for use of PVC-, PE-X (XLP), and PE-insulated conductors and cables. We deliver suitable accessories for paperinsulated cables. The kits are usable outdoor, indoor, in ground, water and installation ducts . Cast resin type GA The cast resin type GA is a 2-component-polyurethanic cast resin system and corresponds to DIN VDE 0291 part 2. It is qualified for nominal voltage up to 10 kV. The cast resin will be delivered in a transparent mixing bag. After removing the protective bag and the separator, the 2 components flow together and must be mixed – in a closed system – for about 3 minutes. A threaten of fitter or environment is thereby excluded. The homogene mixture can be seen by even clouring. The bags are high-resistant against pressure and impacts. Can be delivered in tins on request. Features – High hydrolosis strength – CO 2 gas producing < 10 ml (Hydrophobia) – No depositing of filling material – Excellent adhesive strength on metal and synthetic material – Thin-fluid after mixing – Resistant against UV-rays and chemical influences – Soft-elastic after hardening – Alcalic-resistant – Longe storage time up to 40 months – The used mixing bag can be removed with the normal garbage Further information can be found in technical documentation TD102400E. For special application cast resin types GB, GW, GC and other are available. The high quality of the product and the detailed mounting instruction correspond to this principle. The large, complete product range consists of straight-, transition- and end-joints as well as terminations for different cable constructions. All accessories comprise necessary parts for protecting cable elements. GT shrinking products are produced with high-quality compounds – are extremely cross-linked – and are coated alternatively with adhesive. Depending on application the inner coating consists of formulated hot-melting adhesive or sealing material. Strictly observing our production process according to DIN EN ISO 9001 guarantees a constant quality. Application The accessories are suitable for all PVC-, PE-X (XLPE) and PE-insulated cables. Suitable accessories for paper-insulated as well as for cables filled with insulating material are also available. Heat shrinking products show a high mechanical strength and guarantee a continuous elasticity. The use outdoor, indoor, in the earth or in installation ducts is ensured for long time. A detailed mounting instruction is attached to each combined product and facilitates the installation. This mounting-friendliness increases the security additionally.
