Consider the context when he was writing and the context now for us as readers. • Consider the language of poetry including figurative language and other devices. Look at ‘The Death of Ronald Ryan’ and ‘A Victorian Hangman’ • Weeks Students to look at one Bruce Dawe poem and present a reading of it • 1-5 for the class, including a one page handout. • Students are to consider all of the information they’ve been given and develop an original thesis.
