The noise impacts on Avalon and Lara’s residents, traffic safety and effective permit enforcement of this 24/7 commercial operation on farm zoned land are primary public concerns. The land owner has been engaging in this illegal activity without a permit. This permit application seeks to greatly expand the operations. The applications proposed scheme has numerous glaring deficiencies, is vague in nature and is certain to cause objectionable noise, traffic and amenity disruptions to the residential zones surrounding this residential site. Twenty heavy commercial trucks plus their personal vehicles will use the site. The proposal anticipates 40 heavy vehicle movements per day or two per truck on a 24/7 scheme. Please lodge your objection to this inappropriate permit. Council has set aside specific industrial zones just six minutes away for this purpose. Keep this out of this residential and farming area.
