NOVEMber News!
Character
Our character focus
for November is caring. When you care
about people, you
help them. When
you do a careful job,
you give it your very
best effort. You
treat people and
things gently and
respectfully.

The power of YET
Studies show that students
who have a growth mindset those that see that with hard
work and practice they can
improve - have more confidence and put forth a consistent effort. When your child
tells you that they can't do
something, finish the sentence for them by saying
"You can't do it yet". Help
them to see that with practice
and effort, they can work towards achieving their goals.
Breakfast Club
On Oct 22nd Hillcrest participated
in the Big Crunch! The Big Crunch
is an event where all students
across Grey-Bruce enjoy an apple
together at school. Thank you to
all Breakfast Club volunteers—your efforts are appreciated every
day by our students. We are so
fortunate to have this program at
our school. Many thanks!
Food Drive
Thank you to Hillcrest families
“People don’t care how much who donated to our FCC food
you know until they know how drive. We gathered an amazing
400 pounds of food for the Salvamuch you care.”~ Unknown
tion Army Food Bank. Wow!
Hillcrest Highlights
Congratulations to our X-Country runners this year! We had a great day at
the Meaford regional event! All of the
runners represented Hillcrest well—from our young Husky pups to our seniors! Thank you to all of the coaches for
your wonderful leadership!
