COLLECTION GUIDELINES
YARD DEBRIS GUIDELINES
Garbage and recycling are picked up weekly.
Please follow these guidelines to ensure collection.
Please place containers at the curb by 6:00 a.m.
The following items go in your yard debris cart:
Yard and plant
trimmings
n Three (3) feet apart with lids opening toward street
4 in. diameter
n At least three (3) feet from cars, trees, mailboxes
nHouseplants
nUndecorated holiday trees
n Wheels as close to the curb as possible
n Be sure the container lid is in place and properly strapped
Please remove containers as soon as possible after collection
nGarden vegetation
nGrass & leaves
nWeeds & prunings
nBranches under 4 ft. long,
(limit 4 ft. long, 4 in. diameter)
Extra yard debris
Put yard trimmings that
don’t fit in your cart in
one of these:
DO NOT use
plastic bags for
yard waste
nKraft paper yard bags
n32-gallon cans with handles & lids
(limit 60 lbs.)
• Label cans “yard”
• Put yard trimmings in loosely,
so that cans empty easily
nBundles Use fiber twine.
No wire, nylon or plastic cord
(limit 4 ft. long, 4 in. diameter)

Hazardous waste:
Do not dispose of hazardous waste products (i.e. paint, fluorescent
light bulbs, pesticides, gasoline, solvents, etc.) in your garbage.

Holiday service:
Garbage and recycling are collected on all holidays except Christmas
(Dec. 25) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1). If your collection day falls on or
after Christmas or New Year’s Day, collection will be one day later that
week, with Friday customers being serviced on Saturday.
