Tim is an experienced senior manager who has worked extensively in the Asia Pacific region. Primary
background is in sales and marketing in both B2B and B2C industries. Since the early 1990s additional
experience has also been gained in higher education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels both in
Australia and internationally.

ManageChina is located in Shanghai and Hangzhou. ManageChina is a business process outsourcing (BPO)
company providing services to both China based companies as well as companies located off-shore with
interest in China. They provide a range of services in four key areas:
Financial/Legal Admin Support - company registration (China and Hong Kong), IP Registration,
Bookkeeping
Customer Service - Ground Support for Corporate Delegations and University Programs visiting China;
Office Admin Support
IT Support - Repair and maintenance; out-of-box set up and support; network support; Google Apps
implementation
HR - Basic Human Resource support

Australia Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai (2008-13) (Board Director - Part-time/Volunteer)
China’s premier mainland Australian Chamber of Commerce, with over 400 Australian companies as
members. The Board of Directors is a voluntary Board made up of some of China’s key business
representatives including the CEO’s of 3 of the 4 major banks, the CEO of Blake Dawson China law firm,
the CEO of Qantas China, the CEO of Subway and Domino’s Pizza China, the Head of Austrade China as
well as a number of other business people.

Various private marketing consulting projects over a ten-year period. Examples include market research
for ANZ Bank, strategic sales analysis for major automotive after market firm and marketing strategy for
Falls Creek Ski Resort. Details of these and other projects available on request.
TV Media Philippines - Managing Director (1999-2001)
Responsible for all elements of the Philippines division of a multinational Direct Response Television
company, including Business Development, Strategic Marketing, Media Management, Financial
Management and Human Resource Management for a staff of 90. Particular issues dealt with involved
establishing a retail network, rebuilding the distribution system, negotiating/ renegotiating media contracts,
building a competence in post production, redesigning the human resources function, financial projections,
developing an MIS system.
TV Media - Regional Administration Manager, Osaka, Japan (1999)
Reporting to the General Manager for Regional Development, role was to act in an advisory capacity to the
Chief Operating Officer of the Japanese operation. Responsible for the fit out and launching of TV Media's
first Japanese retail store.
Monash University, Course Director, Bachelor of Business (Marketing) (1996-99)
Responsibilities involved general administration of the course, marketing/communication of the program,
liaison with industry, course review and development. This program accounted for around 70–75% of the
funding for the entire Department of Marketing. This is the largest undergraduate program for marketing in
Australia by student number and the largest in the world by academic head count.
Dollarforce Financial Services, Marketing Manager (1990-95)
Areas of responsibility included development and administration of general marketing program,
administration of the sales force and new product development
Rivers Shoes, Melbourne, National Sales Manager (1989-90)
Member of the core management group committee (other members included Managing Director,
Purchasing Manager and Marketing Manager). Responsibilities included key account management (Myer,
David Jones, Kinney Shoes) and management of a national sales team
