BHS FFA Reporter
On Monday, September
12th, 120 Belleview FFA
members and parents attended the annual Ag open
house hosted by the Belleview High FFA Chapter. The Open House took
place in order for middle
and high school members
to have knowledge about
upcoming events for the
year. The members also
learned all the things necessary to participate and
be successful in the 2017
Southeastern Youth Fair.
FFA members and their
families went through different rotations lead by the
Belleview High Officers
and the Belleview Middle
President. The rotations
included opportunities in
the FFA, nutrition, general rules and information
of the Southeastern Youth
Fair, and certifications and
classes available. There
were several feed companies that came out and talked to parents and students
about nutrition as well as
their companies. The companies included Corbett’s
feed, Seminole feed, and
Summerfield feed. Cor-

FFA OFFICERS presented a skit during the FFA Open
House.
bett’s feed was generous
enough to donated feed to
the Belleview High Chapter to give away as a door
prize. As requested by
Belleview High, all guests
brought a covered dish and
at the end of the presentations; everyone ate and
socialized. The room was
filled with wide smiles and
endless laughter. To wrap
up the night, the Belleview
High chapter auctioned
off cakes that students
had brought in to support
their chapter. All of the
proceeds went to the members attending National
FFA Convention October.
It was a wonderful night
filled with fun and laughter
and despite the rain earlier that day, members and
parents walked away with
another priceless memory
that will last a lifetime.
