PROGRAMME 1 1 Year – Enrichment Programme in Islamic Studies This programme is specifically designed for individuals who wish to take a “gap year” from their studies or work. The programme enhances spiritual consciousness and provides a deeper understanding of Islam. A student will gain a solid introduction to various fields of Islamic knowledge including literacy, research skills, as well as leadership capabilities, which ultimately aims at inspiring moral regeneration. The programme, thus, acts as a catalyst for change. For 2014 the Enrichment Programme in Islamic Studies (EPI) launches, the inclusion of IPSA’s specially designed ‘Leadership & Youth Development’ subject. Completing the EPI will allow entrance into the IPSA Bachelors of Arts Islamic Studies Programme. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: • Applicants require a National Senior Certificate. The programme acts as a platform for further postgraduate and other studies in the field and provides a thorough basis for those wishing to become religious functionaries. This course will enable the student to major in two main fields in Islamic Studies, Shari`ah Law and Arabic. The Programme Aims To Equip Students With: • Core knowledge of the major Islamic disciplines. • Key disciplines of Islamic Law, Quranic exegesis and Prophetic precepts. • Induction into Arabic, the language of Islam’s primary sources and the principle language of its scholarship.
