In the beginning of the story Milo is bored with everything. He hates school, and he hates learning. He thinks everything is a waste of his time and learning is the biggest waste of time of it all. Nothing excites or amuses him. At the end of the story Milo has completely changed. He now loves adventure and seeks out new challenges. He is enthralled by knowledge and wants to learn and experience new things. In the end Milo learned that life is worth discovering, and that knowledge is the most valuable tool we can ever possess because it can take you places you never thought possible.
