TWO NEW SAINTS FOR KERALA COMMUNITY

Kerala Community living in
Ashbourne as Pope Francis
canonised Reformist Catholic
priest, Father Kuriakose Elias
Chavara and reclusive nun, Sister
Euphrasia from Kerala on Sunday
last during Mass in St. Peter’s
Square, Rome. Pope Francis praised their ‘creative’ commitment to
helping the poor. “They responded with extraordinary creativity to
the commandment of love of God and neighbour,” he said.
ASHBOURNE ADVENT PENITENTIAL SERVICE
Penitential Service will take place on Monday 22nd December,
8 p.m. in Ashbourne Church. A number of visiting priests will be in

Parish Office. The
intentions of those to whom
the cards are sent will be
included in Masses on
Christmas Day.
Proceeds from the sale of
the cards will support Christian Communities
throughout the Holy Land.
Ashbourne-Donaghmore Parish would like to express our gratitude to all who made
‘D-Kube’ a tremendous success. A total of €11,078 was raised from the event. Thank you
to the Organising Committee, Paddy Joe Moran, Compare for the evening, Crosserlough
GAA who hosted the evening, Tommy Flanagan, and the many who volunteered to assist
with the tote, Donaghmore-Ashbourne GAA Club and it’s staff for facilitating the Parish
and making the arena available on the evening.
Congratulations to Mick Beggy, who beat D-Kube and was crowned ’D-Kube’
Champion 2014.

over 470 people involved in Parish life. We
