World Geography | Mr. Prindiville Unit Four Map Quiz: North Africa, Southwest and Central Asia The quiz will be on Monday, November 10 in class. It will cover the following: All countries shown on the map on page 414 and the West Bank and Gaza Strip (on map inset) • (Students may learn the capitals of these countries for five possible extra credit points in the “major grade” category) The following physical features: (a physical map of the region is on page 412 in the textbook) • • • • • Sahara Arabian Peninsula Persian Gulf Gulf of Oman Arabian Sea • • • • • Gulf of Aden Anatolia Zagros Mountains Tigris River Euphrates River • • • • Caspian Sea Mesopotamia Strait of Hormuz Strait of Gibraltar Study Tips A good strategy for review would be to study one geographic area a night. One night work on North Africa, another Southwest Asia, and another night work on Central Asia. Taking bite sized chunks will make it super easy! The blank outline maps used for the quiz are included on the following page. A good way to study would be practicing filling out these exact maps, because the same images will be used on the quiz.
