Ferric Phosphate Remover
Buckeye provides ferric-based, aquarium phosphate remover in standard granular, and
high capacity forms. Our high capacity product may remove
up to twice the phosphate and therefore need to be replaced
less often.
The phosphate remover is best used in an up-flow media
reactor where tumbling or agitation of the product is
minimized. The material should be rinsed in running water
prior to use (use of purified water during rinsing is ideal). Avoid aggressive agitation or
stirring while rinsing.

As with all products that supplement or modify water chemistry in saltwater aquariums,
begin use of this product slowly. Use approximately 1 Tablespoon per 50 gallons of
total system volume for the first 4-6 weeks, and slowly increase to double that amount
or more over the next 4 to 6 weeks. Replace media when phosphate levels in the
aquarium begin to rise.
