ASSIGNMENT
Good morning! Thank you for your willingness to give your time to advance the Kingdom of
God! As indicated by the name of our ministry, ‘The Synagogue Church Of All Nations’, this
is a ministry meant for people all over the world – irrespective of ethnicity, religion or
language! In line with this vision and mission, we have begun the challenging process of
translating ALL of our YouTube videos into different languages around the globe – to reach a
wider audience with the life-changing message of Emmanuel TV.
However, we need YOUR HELP! To simplify the task for those who will be translating our
videos into other languages, we first need to write English captions for ALL of our YouTube
videos.
But doesn’t Emmanuel TV already type English captions on most of its videos?
Yes, most of Emmanuel TV’s videos do have English captions but they are not in the correct
format to enable translators to have an easy task of translation on YouTube.
So, how can I help?
If you have time which you can spare for the glory of God and can type accurately in English,
then you can assist us in this mammoth project. Simply follow the instructions below:










Log into your YouTube account. (If you are using Gmail, you will have one
automatically. If not, go to www.youtube.com and click Sign In and follow the
instructions.)
Click on any of the links below.
Select ‘Select Language’ and then click ‘English’.
Type the subtitles sentence by sentence, ensuring your text doesn’t go beyond two
lines.
Try as much as possible to keep sentences within one subtitle.
Please note that EVERYTHING needs to be typed – including the voice-overs and songs.
After finishing, please REVIEW your work and make sure the TIMING is accurate.
After finishing, click ‘submit for review’.
If you are unable to complete the video in one sitting, select the option, ‘No – let
others keep working on them.’
If you have completed the subtitles, select the option, ‘Yes – they’re ready to be
reviewed’.

HOW TO START ADDING SUBTITLES ON ANY OF EMMANUEL TV’S VIDEOS:
1. Go to the video you want to start adding subtitles to.
2. In the right-hand corner, click on the settings icon
3. Click on the option ‘Subtitles/ CC’ 4. Click ‘Add Subtitles/ CC’
5. Click ‘Select Language’ and then ‘English’
6. Start typing!
