Dear Lilienthal Community,
On behalf of the staff, I want to express my
sincerest thanks to you for the wonderful Staff
Appreciation Luncheon last Friday. This was
the first year I've been able to attend this event
and to say I was impressed would be an
understatement. Thank you for celebrating
our wonderful staff and appreciating the hard
work they do. We're really lucky to have the
dedicated staff we have here. Our entire team
left the luncheon and walked into their
weekend with ear-to-ear grins!
I also wanted to mention that our Starlight
Auction is right around the corner! This was
another Lilienthal event I was impressed by
last year. For those of you who've attended
this, you know how fun it can be to have an
evening with friends celebrating the success of
our school. It's a great way to deepen existing
connections and build new ones. The Starlight
Auction is also a significant source of our PTA
funds which go to support struggling readers,
Madison 750-8603 W. Scott 749-3516
teachers' professional development,
enrichment programs, and the arts. Without
this wonderful support, we wouldn't be able to
offer all the amazing things our kids get to
enjoy here at Lilienthal.
If you haven't purchased a ticket yet, you
can get them right here.
I'm looking forward to seeing you on the
evening of March 10th for a wonderful evening
of celebrations, fundraising, and community
building!
With high hopes for the future,
Tyler Graff

Claire Lilienthal Names a
New Spelling Champion!
Seventh-grader Sloane Riley won the 2017
Claire Lilienthal Spelling Bee on Wednesday
1/18. There was plenty of tough competition
from grades 5-8, but in the end, Sloane
unseated the two-time champion, eighth
grader Jiho Lee. The winning word
was pugnacious. Congratulations to all of the
competitors and special thanks to all of the
teachers and staff who helped organize and
supervise the exciting annual event.

sandwiches and pass out items on the day of the
event. If you’d like to donate any of the items
above, please drop off your items to either
campus. If you have any questions or would like
