Preservation of The Qin
Terracotta Army Museum
Xi’an, CHINA - IQ Glass contributes to the
preservation of the Qin Dynasty (221 - 206
BC) warriors and horses. The warriors and
horses, known as the Eight Wonder, were
discovered in 1974. More than 7,000 clay
warriors and 500 horses were found in
three burial pits. The Terracotta army was
unearthed in 1974 after a farmer who had
wanted to dig a well on the site discovered
the army.
As part of the preservation project, IQ
Glass is providing radiant heating glass to
cover and protect the Terracotta army. The
heating glass will not only serve as a viewing platform to the public, but more importantly will protect the Terracotta army
against humidity, snow, wind, rain and air
pollution.

space. Our client dreamt of a way to bring the outdoors, indoors, year round. This meant sitting comfortably and cozily in the conservatory, even amidst blizzard temperatures. IQ Glass

most excited about. Their architects were initially unfamiliar
with IQ Glass and were advising
against the use of so much glass
in an indoor pool setting. They
were particularly concerned with
condensation and fogging possibilities during the colder months,
as well as the resulting discomfort and outrageous potential

Solution:
Friends of the owners,
and proprietors of IQ
Glass in their own
homes, suggested the use
of IQ Glass.
IQ Glass provided the
perfect solution for their
indoor swimming pool.
IQ Glass eradicated any
possibility of condensation, lowered energy
consumption (at an average of 30%), and ensured
optimal comfort.
The inner pane of IQ Glass has a metal
oxide coating so thin, it is invisible to the
naked eye. This coating actually creates an
electrical resistance that disperses heat
equally. The outer pane has another invisible coating which reflects the heat inside,
while blocking the cold outside. During
the hot, summer months, this pane repels
the blazing heat and ultraviolet rays away
from your home. A non-toxic, insulating
gas called krypton is placed between the
panes, achieving an amazing level of
thermal insulation. Both pieces of IQ
Glass consist of tempered glass (also
known as safety glass) five times stronger
than normal glass. In the event that your
glass is broken, it will fracture into distinct
fragments, immediately rupturing the
glass' electrical activity and protecting you
and your loved ones from any harm.
