Conversion Tables
The fluid transfer community uses both the International System of Units (Metric
System) and the U.S. Customary System, often simultaneously — which frequently
creates confusion.
CONVERSION FACTORS
For dimensions, this catalog generally uses the U.S. Customary System in fractional
form (1/16”) or decimal form (.062”). Pressures are listed in pounds per square
inch (psi). However, pore sizes and volumes are most often expressed in the
Metric System as microns (µm) or microliters (µL), respectively.
