AsyouwillknowMsSmithhadtoundergosurgeryonherkneelastterm.SadlyitdidnothealverywellandMsSmithwasintremendouspain.
Sherevisitedhersurgeonandfoundthatherkneehadfurtherdamage,whichneedstobefixed.LaterinNovembershewillundergomore
surgery.Herrecoverywilltakeherintotheschoolholidays.IamsadtoinformyouthatMsSmithwillnotbereturningtoourlovelyschool
untilthebeginningofTerm1,2017.Sheisterriblysadnottobewithusandsaysthatshemissesallthestudentsverymuch.

The Karawha Team have just completed a study about measuring mass. We have learnt terms like lighter and heavier, to describe the
differencesintheweightofobjects.Wehavealsolearntaboutthemeasurementunitsofgrams,kilogramsandtonnes.Wepracticedhowto
make estimations, how to weigh things accurately and to make comparisons between the different weights of objects. We all enjoyed the
‘handson’natureofthistopicandthehighlightwaswheneachclassgottoputtheirnewmeasuringskillstogoodusebymakingLollyCake.
