Nashville, TN
We will route across Arkansas, a diverse state of
mountains, delta, and prairie before crossing the
Mighty Mississippi River in Memphis. This afternoon's scenic drive will take us eastward to Nashville,
the "Country Music Capital" and our overnight
destination.
Fri, Apr 21
Charlotte, NC
We will bypass the Great Smoky Mountains National
Park as we enter North Carolina and arrive in
Charlotte, the largest city in North Carolina.
Sat, Apr 22
Myrtle Beach, SC
This morning we depart for the Billy Graham Library.
Our visit will allow you to discover the life and legacy
of America’s Pastor.
Designed to reflect Billy
Graham’s journey from a humble farm boy to an
international ambassador of God’s love, the
barn-shaped building is situated on 20 acres, only miles
from where Billy Graham grew up. This afternoon we
continue to Myrtle Beach, SC, an entertainment capital
located on the Atlantic Ocean. This evening get ready
for a night of entertainment at the Carolina Opry.

plantation, many of the oak trees are more than 250
years old. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon with local
sightseeing and shopping. We will transfer back to our
oceanfront hotel for an evening on your own, where
you can enjoy a stroll on the beautiful beaches of
Myrtle Beach.

Charleston, SC
Upon arrival in Charleston we see that preservation is a
way of life in this 300-year-old city renowned for its
splendid architecture. Have free time for browsing at
the historic city market where vendors sell high-quality
paintings, pottery, Charleston’s famous sweetgrass
baskets and more. Board a boat for a tour of Fort Sumter where the first shot of the Civil War was fired on
April 12, 1861.

Savannah, GA
Begin our day with a city tour of Charleston to include
the Citadel, Heyward-Washington House and St
Michael’s Church. This afternoon we continue to
Savannah and enjoy supper at Mrs. Wilkes’ Boarding
House, serving great food since 1943.

Savannah, GA
Savannah boasts one of the nation’s largest urban
National Historic Districts in the country. A real “Old
South” experience
comes to life on the
cobblestone paved
streets beneath the
moss-draped oaks
to be seen on city
tour. After lunch at
Paula Deen’s Lady
and Sons, enjoy a
free afternoon from
our downtown hotel.
Thur, April 27
Tifton, GA
Continuing to the south we tour one of Georgia’s
“golden isles”, Jekyll Island, an exclusive winter retreat
for the wealthiest families of America in the late
1800’s. Our narrated tram tour will give us a better
appreciation of the island before our lunch at Jekyll
Island Club Hotel.
Fri, April 28
Meridian, MS
We continue to Columbus, the 3rd largest city in
Georgia. The newly-opened National Infantry Museum
is located just outside Fort Benning and tells the heroic
story of everyday Infantrymen through an enviable
collection of more than 30,000 artifacts. Galleries trace
Infantry history from before the Revolutionary War to
action today in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Shreveport, LA
Before leaving Meridian we pay a visit to the Jimmie
Rodgers Museum. Known as the “Father of Country
Music”, he was born in Meridian in 1897.

Return home
As we board our motorcoach this morning we realize
our tour is rapidly coming to a close but we will take
with us great memories of our tour of the South and the
fun shared with fellow travelers. We will route through
Dallas and Fort Worth as we head homeward to West
Texas.
