Mintage a mere 5,000 coins!
An utterly unique type, featuring a ‘WMF’ privymark,
this eye-catching Australian legal tender coin is one of
the most exciting Australian Show Products ever issued.
Apart from the obvious attraction of owning a Round 50c
finished in real gold, the fact that this is the first 50c
to feature a privymark or counterstamp has naturally
instigated fierce demand.
Strictly limited to a mintage of 5,000 coins – each struck
from cupro-nickel and each set in an official WMF pack
– we were able to secure only a tiny number of the 2016

Sensational new pack!
Australia’s first 50c piece, and our nation’s only
issued precious metal decimal coin, the 1966
Silver Round 50c is a fundamental element of
every Australian collection.
Struck from 80% silver, the first 50c was
intended to be ‘the glamour coin’ of the decimal
changeover. Rising metal prices sealed its fate,
however, and with the intrinsic value soaring
above the face value, it vanished from circulation.
As the next 50c was neither silver nor round, the 1966
50c was destined to be a unique, one-year-only type.
Highlighted by fantastic new freestanding packaging,
and presented in Very Fine to Extremely Fine, the
1966 Silver 50c 50th Anniversary Pack forms a fine
memento of decimalisation.

Currency Crossroads – the 50th
The Ultimate Tribute
Comprising the last coins of the
predecimal era and the first coins
of the decimal period, the
Australian Currency Changeover
Premium Collection forms the
ultimate tribute to the 50th
anniversary of decimalisation.
Copper Crossroads!
Featuring Australia’s LAST halfpenny & penny dates, united with the nation’s FIRST 1c and 2c dates, this
unique presentation encompasses both sides of the nation’s predecimal-decimal divide.
Crucial for everyday transactions, low
denomination copper coins have long played
a special role in the hearts and minds of
Australians. From the time that the arrival
of the 1797 Cartwheel Penny provoked
the nation’s first official currency system,
Governor Philip Gidley King’s Proclamation
of 1800, copper coins have formed the
bedrock upon which Australian numismatics
has been built. From the issue of the first
halfpenny in 1911 to the withdrawal of the
last 1c in 1992, low denomination copper
coinage was a familiar sight to Australians of
all ages for more than eight decades of the
20th century. Historic, symbolic and always
popular with collectors, the 1964 Halfpenny
& Penny and the 1966 1c & 2c form a
crucial part of that heritage.
Featuring the last predecimal and first decimal
copper coins in Very Fine to Extremely
Fine, and beautifully presented within an
informative, illustrated pack, this exciting new
release is also extremely affordable. Fantastic
value-for-money at an Official Issue Price of
just $39.95, the Pence to Cents Premium Pack
represents a sensational way to celebrate the
50th anniversary of decimal currency.
Anniversary of Decimalisation
Beautifully presented, richly historic
and utterly comprehensive, this new
release unites the 1963 Sixpence,
1963 Shilling and 1963 Florin with
the 1964 Halfpenny, 1964 Penny
and 1964 Threepence. The final dates
of their respective denominations,
bearing the first coinage portrait of
Queen Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick,
these crucial coins are presented in
Very Fine to Uncirculated condition.
The most authentic commemoration
of this major milestone in Australia’s
currency history, the ‘last issue’
predecimal dates are presented with
the coins brought in to replace them
– the first coins of the decimal era.
Naturally among the most valued
coins of the decimal series, the 1966
issue comprised the 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c,
20c and famous Silver Round 50c
– Australia’s only issued decimal
coin struck from precious metal.
In pristine condition, the six 1966
coins are offered in strictly
Uncirculated quality.
The perfect environment for such
a valuable keepsake of the decimal
changeover, the twelve coins are
individually encapsulated and
housed within a high-quality
hardback portfolio. Solid, attractive
and informative, the impressive
portfolio will heighten every
collector’s enjoyment of this
outstanding 12-coin set.

The rare 2001 Federation Series
Superb Uncirculated quality
Underpinned by strictly Uncirculated quality, this comprehensive
collection offers you the chance to own Australia’s lowest
mintage circulating 20c coins!
The perfect partner to the collection at left, this set includes
every other 20c commemorative issued for circulation from
1966 to today – all in Uncirculated quality!
Issued for the centenary of Australian nationhood, the 2001 20c
Federation Series comprises nine unique types – one for each
of our nine States and Territories. Given that the annual average
20c mintage since 1966 is around 42m, the average States &
Territories 20c mintage of 2.09m is amazingly low.
Australia’s first 20c commemoratives honoured the UN (1995)
and Sir Donald Bradman (2001), with both types hoarded out
of circulation and rarely found in change. Following the 2001
Federation Series, the RAM released the Volunteers 20c in 2003
and the WWII 20c in 2005. After a break of some five years, the
ATO 20c was released in 2010, with the Royal Wedding 20c,
Volunteers 10th Anniversary 20c and Women’s Day 20c issued
in 2011. Seldom seen in circulation, the scarce Canberra 20c
was issued in 2013.
Released at random across Australia by the RBA, and hoarded
out of circulation at speed, the tiny mintages have ensured that
this series is all but impossible to piece together from change.
Even if you were extremely lucky, you would never find these
coins in Uncirculated quality – as here.
Rendering the traditional search through change a thing of the
past, all nine unique types are found in the 1966-2013 20c
Commemorative Pack – PLUS a bonus 1966-84 Platypus 20c!

The Complete $1 Series
Controversially, a $1 coin was not included in Australia’s new decimal currency when unveiled in 1966. In 1984,
however, the $1 coin made its belated debut, with the denomination ultimately forming one of Australia’s key
commemorative series. A fantastic opportunity, this is your chance to secure all nineteen issued $1 types in Unc!
Although all nineteen RAM 25mm Al-Br $1
types have been issued for circulation, it’s
tough to compile the 1984-2014 $1 series
from change – and impossible to do so in top
grade. With the one-year-only 1984 Roos $1
and the eighteen commemoratives offered in
Uncirculated condition, that search through
change is now rendered irrelevant!

Last Predecimal,
First Decimal!
Although much of the attention surrounding
the 50th anniversary of decimalisation will
naturally focus upon coins and banknotes,
one should not forget that the 14th of
February 1966 also forms a crucial landmark
in the history of Australian philatelics. The
ultimate tribute to the changeover to the
decimal system, this stunning collection
unites Australia LAST predecimal stamps
with the nation’s FIRST decimal stamps!
With Australia’s original currency system
winding down in 1965, there were just nine
stamps issued for the year. Headlined by
the Gallipoli 50th anniversary trio (5d, 8d
& 2/3), the 1965 series also featured the
International Telecommunications Centenary
5d, Churchill 5d, Monash Centenary 5d,
Hargrave 5d, International Co-operation
2/3 and Christmas 5d. All nine historic
types are included in this collection – all
in Mint Unhinged quality!
The perfect way to celebrate the decimal
changeover, these key predecimal types
are united with a vast array of stamp types
issued for the changeover to the decimal
system. As you would expect, the beginning
of a new postal system necessitated the
issue of a large number of types, with many
different stamp types unveiled in 1966.
This set features 27 different 1966 decimal
stamps, with every one presented in superb
Mint Unhinged quality!
With limited stock available, and this
comprehensive collection available at an
average price of just $5.53c per stamp,
we highly recommend immediate action.

Last chance! Only eight sets in stock!
What better way could there be to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of decimalisation than by securing Proof quality
examples of our very first decimal coins? The most desirable
issue in the Royal Australian Mint’s entire Proof Set Series, this
is your chance to own the 1966 Proof Set officially slabbed
and graded by PCGS – but you will have to act now!
Uniting Australia’s very first 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c and 20c dates
with the unique, controversial Silver Round 50c, the first
Australian decimal Proof Set is one of the most exclusive
issues of the 1966-2016 Proof Set Series. With the mintage
just 18,110 sets, this highly sought after 6-coin collection is
genuinely scarce. Officially graded by the USA’s Professional
Coin Grading Service (PCGS) at PR64 – at least – the 50-yearold coins are defined by precisely frosted designs and sharp
edges with some toning.
Signifying a key moment in the nation’s currency history, and
seldom available in Proof quality, our recent offering of these
slabbed 1966 Proof Sets created predictably powerful demand.
Indeed, we have very few sets remaining in stock. Don’t miss
your last chance!
